On June 8, 2024, Batts Media Group had the honor of participating in the 93rd Annual Black & White Ball, hosted by the San Antonio (TX) Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi, Fraternity Inc. This year’s event, themed: Informed, Involved & Invested, underscored the fraternity’s commitment to making a lasting impact in the community. The evening was a testament to the meticulous planning and dedication of the event’s organizers, resulting in a truly unforgettable experience.

The Program
The program was a highlight of the evening, centered around the inspiring message delivered by the San Antonio (TX) Alumni Chapter Polemarch, Brother Richard “Flip” Wilson. His speech encapsulated the theme of the night, urging attendees to stay informed, get involved, and invest in their communities. This message resonated throughout the event, reinforcing the fraternity’s mission and values.

Behind the Scenes
The success of the Black & White Ball was no accident. Program coordinator Brother Chris Alfred spared no expense nor effort with ensuring the event’s excellence. Weekly planning meetings, food tastings, and digital collaborations spanned months leading up to the ball, resulting in an event where every detail was meticulously crafted.

The Night’s Host and Entertainment
The evening was hosted by Brother Derrick Hawkins, whose humor and energy kept the event lively and engaging. His dynamic presence ensured the night moved smoothly and entertained the attendees. Entertainment was top-notch, featuring the beats of DJ D Krisp and the soulful sounds of The Right Now Society (R.N.S.) Band. Their performances created a vibrant atmosphere with interactive entertainment.

An Unforgettable Experience
From the great dinner prepared by Executive Chef Charles Jung, amazing live music and to the invigorating atmosphere, the 93rd Annual Black & White Ball was an evening of elegance and purpose. The meticulous attention to detail was evident in every aspect of the event, making it a night to remember.
